Director of Cowboy Bebop adapts Blade Runner into anime

Sci-fi fans held their breath about Blade Runner 2049 which is a sequel to 1982 production of Blade Runner. Shinichiro Watanabe, director of Cowboy Bebop has announced that he is going to make an anime adaptation of Blade Runner.

Sequel to 1982 movie Blade Runner that Harrison Ford starred, Blade Runner 2049 will be in theatres next month, including Turkey. Movie that is being expected by the first movies fans, will be in theatre in October 6. In the meantime Shinichiro Watanabe, director of Cowboy Bebop has announced that he is going to make an anime adaptation of famous sci-fi movie.

Adaptation will be a short anime that takes place after three years of the events in the 1982 movie. Scene to the events will be the futuristic LA like the original movie, where electric shortages are causing problems. The title will be Blade Runner Black Out 2022 and to be released with the sequel.

Watanabe, who also released a trailer for the project, stated that Blade Runner was some of the most influental movies to his career and was very excited. Electronic Music maker Stephen Ellison A.K.A. Flying Lotus will be making the music for the movie.
